As many of you witnessed, last night was game 1 of the NBA Finals. Today the topic of conversation among most is how the Lakers defeated the Celtics with grace and precision and about the phenomenal athlete that is Kobe Bryant. However, last night my eyes weren’t drawn to Kobe’s beautiful jumpshot half as often as they were to his feet. For most big games Nike graces their major players with new, special colorways of their signature shoes and last night was no different. Kobe wore his signature Nike Zoom Kobe V in what is being called the “Big Stage” edition. This clean and simple colorway of white and gold was much less flashy than the typical yellow/purple we usually see adorning his feet. What I like most about them is the hidden goodies. Embossed within the fly-wire are the stats other points of motivation for Kobe. No word yet on if/when these will release but if they do, be sure I will be first in line for them.
